Matthew Bascetta

Originating from the USA, Matthew spent 2 years studying with and working for Folkcraft in Connecticut (manufacturers of dulcimers).
He thens studied and worked with Ivon Schmukler master guitar builder .
Arriving in the UK to study violin & classical guitar construction at Leeds College of Music, he has since moved to the Chester area and has been working as a self employed luthier for the last 6 years.
Bespoke instrument manufacture is his passion!
Matthew can be seen at fairs around the country with his handmade instruments, where he often lectures on his art .
He is now in the process of producing a series of DVDs on instrument manufacture & restoration.
